The Game of Life, A Review SOL#28

THE GAME OF LIFE REVIEW: "Always a surprise"

DESIGN & FEATURES

The Game of Life sounds great when accompanied by the best playlists.  Today's featured playlists included:  yoga, kettle bells, lo-fi focus for intense work catch-up, chill, and car-ride groovin'.  Playlists easily plug into phone, Google Nest, and car stereo, although I notice it needs a bit of catch up time when the car lingers between WiFi range and roaming.  This could just be an instance of AT&T being shit or perhaps this happens to everyone while they wait at the stop light three houses down from their own home, so keep an ear out.

The Game of Life is incredibly cumbersome though today was one of those unbelievably flexible days that felt a bit lightweight. Despite the 24 hours in a day seeming restrictive, the hours were rather productive and didn't constrict breathing or feel heavy or tight on my chest.  Today, I'd say this game is comfortable for hours upon hours of playtime, and as a glasses wearer, I can attest that they didn't pinch at all - I somehow reduced my normal screen time which is a miracle. This spring break isn't quite as long as I'd like, but you can easily swap out some personal days if you need to in order to attain a similar feeling.

As far as sound goes, you expect the conversation pieces to sound good and today's happy hour delivered in spades. Drinking back-to-back rounds of Miller Lites helped show off the various levels at play in the Game of Life, as each friend is tackling something different providing a booming bass and a nice full mid-range sound.  Crisp and direct, offering me ample opportunities to lean in and say, "What?!".  Listening to bar music while visiting is incredibly satisfying and easy (I literally unplug my mind and plug into the friend vibe around me) and sounds amazing - the thumping bass that persists throughout the hole in the wall never rattles or threatens to blow out.

PERFORMANCE

If you're looking for a multipurpose game that literally costs everything you have to give, then you should seriously consider the Game of Life. This experience looks and sounds amazing and is incredibly comfortable and uncomfortable in a total crap-shoot fashion.  Join the adventure!
